Tando Matanda is the CEO of Musa, an intelligent SME capital-orchestration platform. Musa is the coordination layer for financiers deploying into emerging market SMEs. Musa organizes catalytic, debt, equity, and guarantee capital around an anchor into a single funding stack, so financiers deploy together, share the diligence and the risk, and the business is funded once, in full, rather than in fragments over months. Backed by J.P. Morgan and Techstars, Musa is live across four countries and works with more than 20 financier partners representing billions in potential capital.
Previously, Tando led Australia’s first mobility-focused corporate venture fund ($10M) at Car Group (ASX:CAR), becoming the first Afro-Australian woman to run a multi-million-dollar CVC program. Cambridge educated, she began her career at BCG Digital Ventures. Tando is recognised as a Women Leading Tech Innovator (B&T x Atlassian) and Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year (Women Changing the World Awards), she focuses on re-architecting capital flow so SMEs can grow and financiers deploy more effectively.
