Sarah Sakha

Sarah Ariyan Sakha is the AI Policy Manager for Africa, the Middle East, and Turkiye at Meta. In this role, she drives AI product and policy strategy across the region to ensure Meta’s AI can serve communities inclusively and responsibly across the region. Her work at Meta has focused on the impact of AI for local communities, as well as on engagement with civil society and international organisations such as the UN on digital policy issues. Prior to joining Meta, she worked on humanitarian policy reforms at the International Rescue Committee, and open data policies and “data for good” initiatives at the Rockefeller Foundation. She holds a Master’s degree in Technology and Human Rights Policy from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Near Eastern Studies from Princeton University. She lives in London, where she loves cooking Iranian food for others and cycling (a freshly acquired skill).
