Sally Elakkad is the CEO of Abjjad, the leading Arabic digital reading and audiobook platform, where she is driving the company’s transformation from a digital library into a global Arabic content and technology platform.
With more than 20 years of experience across multinational organizations, entrepreneurship, marketing, e-commerce, and digital transformation, Sally’s career has centered on building businesses, leading teams through change, and turning emerging technologies into practical business value.
Alongside her executive role, Sally has spent more than 17 years teaching and training business professionals and future leaders. She is also a DBA researcher, exploring the cognitive consequences of Generative AI reliance and its impact on managerial decision-making, an area that reflects her broader interest in the intersection of technology, leadership, and human judgment.
Across her work as a CEO, educator, researcher, and speaker, Sally focuses on one central question: as technology becomes more capable, how do we ensure that people and organizations become more capable with it, rather than simply more dependent on it?
