Hamed is a Principal at Access Bridge Ventures (ABV), a USD 35mn early-stage fund backing technology founders across MENA.
His path to VC is rooted in two decades of hands-on experience across finance, tech, and operations. He spent eight years in investment banking in Cairo, building deep expertise in structured finance and capital markets before pivoting into the startup world. At Uber, he worked across multiple functions within the wider Operations team covering MEA markets during a period of rapid regional expansion. He then joined Trella, a Cairo-based freight technology company, as one of its earliest joiners and an extension to the founding team, helping shape the business through its most formative phase.
That combination of financial rigour, operator instincts, and on-the-ground experience across Egypt, sub-Saharan Africa, and the broader MENA region now shapes how he thinks about early-stage investing: backing founders who can navigate complexity, in markets that are undercapitalised relative to their potential.
Hamed has completed executive education programmes at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and Harvard Business School Online.
