Carolyne Kirabo is the founder of M-Kyala Ventures, M-Kyala Capital and the Gender Action Collective.
She has 15+ years’ experience working in the gender inclusion, impact investing, management consulting, SME strategy and operational advisory support where she champions the use of gender inclusive approaches to building a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. She has championed increased economic inclusion for women entrepreneurs that has seen her work impact over 500 women in Africa.
Carolyne’s work aims at increasing access to finance for underserved and undervalued women entrepreneurs. She supports investors, INGOs, Foundations and entrepreneurs to develop inclusive strategies across their work while also investing capital directly to women owned and led SMEs in East Africa.
Carolyne is actively involved in several gender equality initiatives across Africa and recently launched the Gender Action Collective, a community intended to amplify the voice and work of female entrepreneurs and drive the relevant resources and support needed to strengthen the ecosystem that serves them.
She holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and sits on the board of AFARA Accelerator and the Investment Committee of SHONA Capital.
Carolyne is a key figure in the ecosystem known for her passion for and work in advancing women entrepreneurship.
