Akmal ElHak is the Chief Financial Officer at Pearl Semiconductor and an experienced financial advisor and board member with over 27 years of professional experience across multinational, regional, and local organizations, as well as USAID-funded projects.
Throughout his career, Akmal has built extensive expertise across financial management, treasury, budgeting and planning, costing, internal auditing, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, supply chain, IT, human resources, and legal affairs. He has worked across a diverse range of sectors, including ICT, trade, FMCG, healthcare, agriculture, poultry, and automotive.
Prior to joining Pearl Semiconductor, Akmal held senior financial and advisory roles, including managing the financial side of a USAID-funded grants program with General Dynamics, where he was responsible for financial oversight, audits, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Beyond his corporate career, Akmal is also active in the investment ecosystem as an angel investor, bringing a strong financial and strategic perspective to early-stage businesses and investment decisions. His combination of corporate finance, governance, investment, and cross-sector experience gives him a broad perspective on building sustainable businesses and creating long-term value.
