Waleed is the CEO and Founder of SIDEUP, an e-commerce logistics platform that connects online merchants to 15+ couriers in Egypt and Saudi Arabia through a single dashboard. Founded in 2019, SIDEUP gives sellers of any size the shipping capabilities of a large retailer with no contracts and no subscription fees. The company is headquartered in Cairo and Riyadh and is backed by 500 Global, Launch Africa, UPS Express KSA, Riyadh Angels, Alex Angels, and Core Vision Investments.
Having worked with thousands of merchants across both markets, Waleed has a first-hand view of why deliveries succeed or fail and what separates sellers who scale from those held back by returns and operational gaps. He is an alumnus of Meet Silicon Valley, a U.S. Government-funded exchange program in San Francisco, and a regular speaker at entrepreneurship events across the region.
