Ahmed Wadi: Founder & CEO, Money Fellows

My professional journey has always been defined by a singular focus: identifying fundamental human needs and building the technology to meet them.

This path began with my first venture, Objectly, a startup dedicated to developing item-tracking software. It was a pivotal learning experience, resulting in technology that was subsequently adopted by industry giants like Microsoft and Daimler.

While my academic background—a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Stuttgart (2009) and an M.Sc. in IT from the Technical University of Munich (2014)—equipped me with the technical tools, the inspiration for Money Fellows was born from personal necessity.

During my time in Germany, I sought personal financing only to discover that the available options required an extensive credit history—a barrier that excluded thousands of otherwise eligible individuals. I was immediately reminded of the traditional Egyptian "Gameya" (ROSCA), a model of communal saving and financing I had watched my family rely on since childhood. I saw how effective these money circles were for millions in Egypt and across the region, yet they lacked convenience. They were limited by personal networks, availability of slots, and the friction of physical payments and collection.

I realized that by applying modern fintech infrastructure, we could solve the issues of scalability and security while preserving the community spirit of the model.

Today, Money Fellows is not just a fintech company; we are a bridge connecting tradition with technology, delivering essential, secure, and inclusive financial services to our community.
