Architectural Detectives is a lively, one-hour workshop for curious participants who want to look at old buildings with fresh eyes—no background in architecture or history needed. The session invites participants to slow down, observe carefully, and discover how buildings can reveal stories about the people, materials, and ideas that shaped them.
Through remarkable Egyptian examples—from medieval buildings to more contemporary urban landmarks—participants will learn how to read architectural clues, notice layers of change, and connect visible details to larger historical stories. Along the way, they will practice simple tools for observation and documentation, solve visual riddles, and build confidence in interpreting the built environment around them.
The workshop is designed to promote a sharper, more playful way of reading the city—turning everyday walks into opportunities for discovery, curiosity, and deeper engagement with Egypt’s architectural heritage
